My Savior

The gentleness of a light summer breeze

Whispering things will soon find relief

When pain and its sorrows muddle me down

And soothing relief can nowhere be found

My Savior speaks gently from under his crown

                                                                                                                                                                                    ~~~~~
The trundle of rain and lightning’s sharp clap
Can jolt me into a mem’ry lane trap
Where frightened and scared I lived out my days
And sanity loomed on the brinks of craze
My Savior reached lovingly down to engage
                                                                                                                                                                                   ~~~~~

The sunshine and shadows that mark my life here

Are colored by memories hard to compare

Covertly pushing me out on a ledge

Determined to have my spirit to fledge

My Savior deflects in His wings He’ll protect

                                                                                                                                                                                      ~~~~~
The pureness of snow, clean and white to see
Covers hills and dale glowing passionately
One flake will melt, but together they grow
Casting a likeness on God and His show
My Savior He loves me completely I know
